>> Housed in a former Coca-Cola bottling plant, the Bottleworks Hotel is a chic downtown spot with restored art deco architectural elements and modern appointments.
>> Rooms boast platform beds with padded headboards, touches of Coca-Cola red in the décor, and marble spa-like bathrooms with handwoven robes. Some have private terraces with outdoor seating.
>> For now, you can enjoy hand-crafted cocktails and snacks in The Club Room. Coming soon: Blue Bottle Coffee Co.; Sundry & Vice, a classic cocktail bar; and Modita, an Asian-inspired restaurant that will serve robota grilled specialties.

Eat > Dine Al Fresco

>> Livery tops most where-to-dine lists in Indianapolis. The upscale Latin-inspired restaurant is located in a restored brick stable and has a beautiful rooftop patio. Favorites include mushroom and queso empanadas, skirt steak and manchego-polenta, and churros with dulce de leche. There’s an impressive selection of tequilas and mescals.
>> Bluebeard is located in a 1924 factory warehouse in a historic Italian neighborhood in downtown. James Beard Foundation-nominated chef Abbi Merriss dishes up seasonal Italian comfort food—fried morels in the spring, a hearty Bolognese in the winter—offered in small and large plates. The terrace has heaters and a fireplace so you can dine al fresco even in chilly weather.

Do > Enjoy the Outdoors

>> Check out The Garage Food Hall in the Bottleworks District. Pick up food to go from one of the many Indy food purveyors, or quaff a local brew on the patio at Daredevil Hall. garageindy.com
>> Hop on a bike from Indiana Pacers Bikeshare and ride the Indianapolis Cultural Trail to the Monon Rail Trail, where you can pitstop at local eateries, offering up everything from gourmet popsicles to flavored popcorn.
>> Rent a sailboat, canoe or kayak through Eagle Creek Outfitters at the reservoir marina at Eagle Creek Park. If you’re feeling adventurous and Zen, take a paddle board yoga class.
